Abstract: Thymoma is the commonest epithelial neoplasm arising from thymus gland. Tumour is slow growing and in the absence of metastasis, surgery is the treatment of choice. Radiology plays an important role in the initial evaluation of patients with thymic tumours.

-CECT thorax shows a large invasive thymoma invading the pericardium with pleural deposits The incidence of thymoma in the United States is estimated to be 0.13 to 0.15 per 100,000 people. 11 The median age of patients with thymoma is older than 50 years, and thymomas are diagnosed equally in men and women. 12 Thymic carcinomas account for a minority of all thymic neoplasms, 13 and they are more aggressive than thymomas. 14 Thymic carcinoids represent less than 5% of anterior MCPS Radiology.
